COURTHOUSE,
Nov 10 – More than five years
ago, Bank of New York Mellon
fired Steven Milazzo after 28
years of service. He had
complained about sexual
harassment; he was ostensibly
fired for a visit to a strip
club. He sued, in the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York.
On
November 10 there was a
near-final pre-trial
conference. Inner City Press
was there. A fight was about
privilege and what can come in
at trial. Already, one witness
is being allowed to be
referred to as "Employee D."
The jurors will be told that
"for reasons unrelated this
case, her name is not being
used publicly."
Bank of
NewYork Mellon, we note, is
also being sued in SDNY for
allegedly enabling Jeffrey
Epstein.
The trial starts
November 17; the case is
Milazzo v. Bank of New York
Mellon Corporation,
1:23-cv-5437 (Subramanian)
