Dec 17 – An Italian man
charged with defrauding US
investors by claiming to have
a connection to defense
contractor Anduril though
Sestante Capital LLC was
ordered free on bail on
December 15 - then the order
was stayed for 24 hours. Inner
City Press was there in the
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
and live tweeted, here
AUSA: The
defendant claimed connections
to Anduril Industries, a
private defense technology
company. He is a citizen of
Italy; CBP has already filed a
detainer. He lived for most of
his time here in a hotel in
Manhattan. He has an ex wife
and children in the UK... He
did not speak to pre-trial
services--
Federal Defender:
On my advice. His wife
is here in the courtroom. They
live in Manhattan. [She waves
at judge] Federal
Defender: She is not employed
but wants to enroll in an MBA
program. He has an E-2
investor's visa. He was living
at the Roxy Hotel, then
Leonard Street. He's an
only child..
Judge: I find I
can release him, to home
detention with GPS
Pre-Trial: Cannot
be installed today
Judge: I order Mr Pennetta
free on unsecured bond
co-signed by 3 people
including his wife Ms.

24 hour stay to appeal to
Judge Rakoff FD: Object Judge:
Stay until noon... No, 24

Judge Rakoff
increased the bond: "as to
Giovanni Pennetta, $500,000
PRB; Co-signed by three (3)

all conditions met. All
conditions as set by Mag. Gary
Stein on 12/15/2025 continue
with the exception of the
increase on the bond as
indicated above, 3 FRPS
acceptable to the Government."
