SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Nov 25 – A man charged with
taking bribes to buy medical
devices in violation of the
anti-kickback statute was
presented and released on bond
on November 25, 2024 by U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Barbara C.
Moses. Inner City Press was
there, the only media in the
SDNY Mag court.
There is a
co-defendant; Judge Moses
asked the prosecutor if he
wanted her to ban
communication between the two
without presence of counsel.
The AUSA
said, They would be doing so
at their own risk. But Judge
Moses imposed the restriction.
NYU Langone was mentioned.
The case
is USA v. Shah, et al.,
24-cr-653 (Woods / Moses)
