SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Sept 20 – A man is on
trial charged with having a
gun as he ran from police in
the South Bronx, after having
previously been convicted of a
felony. Inner City Press went
to cover the trial on
September 19.
NYPD
Officer Washington narrated
her and her partner's body cam
video as they drove the wrong
way on East 140th Street by
Brook Avenue, chasing the
defendant. Then, video a
school yard, with a gun on the
ground. The arrest, on shaky
cam.
As has
happened in many other U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
after the Supreme Court's
Bruen decision, a motion to
dismiss on Second Amendment
grounds was made, back in
March - and was denied.
On September 20,
the trial got into DNA. Thread:
OK - now back in
jury trial in US v Grayson,
charged with possessing a
firearm after having been
previously convicted of a
felony - DNA expert being
cross examined about 6
picograms of DNA per cell.
Defense: How many
more zeroes does an octillion
have than a trillion?
DOJ expert: 27
minus 12... 15. At the end of
the StarMix run it says-
Defense: We'll
get to that.
The case is US v.
Grayson, 23-cr-614 (Rochon)
