SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 29 –
Veronica
Maddy, a
legally blind
person, sued
Visible
Changes, Inc.
for having a
website that
was
inaccessible.
On
January 23,
2023 U.S.
District Court
for the
Southern
District of
New York
Judge Lewis J.
Liman held a
proceeding.
Inner City
Press covered
it.
Such cases are
being attacked
as an abuse of
the ADA, in
the EDNY and
elsewhere.
Here,
a class
certification
motion was set
for May 23,
with a
conference on
July 27.
The
case is Maddy
v. Visible
Changes, Inc.,
22-cv-7750
(Liman)
