SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Oct 28 – In Ruby Freeman's and
Wandrea' Moss' ongoing attempt
to collect from Rudy Giuliani,
a proceeding was held on
September 27 before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis J. Liman. Inner
City Press was there; thread
Caruso: Can I
have 3 more days?
Judge: No. Judge:
Your client owes money. This
should move quickly. Adjourned
And on October 8,
a motion to intervene by
Andrew Giuliani: "Amongst that
property are '3 Yankee World
Series Rings.' However, the
Mayor gifted those World
Series rings to his son,
Andrew, in 2018. An order
requiring transfer of these
rings to Plaintiffs would
permanently deprive Andrew of
his ownership in them. He thus
seeks permission to
intervene." Full filing on
Patreon here.
On October 22
Judge Liman wrote that
Giuliani is "ordered under
C.P.L.R. 5225 to transfer all
personal property specified in
the list below at pp. 16-18" -
full list on Patreon here.
On October 25
counsel for the plaintiffs
wrote to Judge Liman that "the
Palm Beach Condo should be
included among the property
subject to the Receivership
Order."
On Sunday October
27, Giuliani's lawyer filed
opposition, noting that
"between February 8, 2024, and
August 8, 2024, Defendant was
in Palm Beach for the
plurality of the time (71
days, approximately 39% of the
time period). He spent an
additional 64 days outside of
Florida (and outside New York)
for reasons of health, leisure
and/or business." Letter on

On October 28, a
conference, Inner City Press
was in the courtroom, thread:
Judge: Mr Caruso
has proposed that Mr [Rudy]
Giuliani would remain in the
Palm Beach condo and maintain
it with exempt funds. What
wrong with that? Plaintiffs'
counsel: The recevership order
prohibits interference
Plaintiffs'
lawyer: We want to add these
as injunctions. Judge Liman:
Let me look at Paragraph 4(d)
- how would you change this?
Plaintiffs' lawyer: We want to
prevent the defendant from
throwing up
roadblocksGiuliani's lawyer:
All of this is without
prejudice to me asking the
Court to abstaining Judge:
Wednesday on that. What about
Andrew Giuliani? Plaintiffs'
lawyer: We received his
submission and objections last
night, as we prepare to depose
him.
Judge: I suspect
tax returns may be sensitive
Plaintiffs' lawyer: We are
prepared to file a motion to
compel. Andrew Giuliani's
lawyer McBride: We have no
responsive tax documents
Plaintiffs' lawyer: We want
all responses in 14, not 39,
days. Giuliani's lawyer: No
Giuliani's
lawyer: I could commit to best
efforts. Judge: I'm setting an
expedited schedule in the
case. Giuliani's lawyer
Caruso: I may be bombarded
with discovery requests
Plaintiffs'
lawyer: He claims he had a
longstanding Florida homestead
plan. There could be many
documents, or few. We aim to
depose Mr [Rudy] GIuliani in
December. We want to serve
interrogatories about what
date he claims he moved to
Florida, not let him retrofit
Plaintiffs'
lawyer: He should be able to
answer this right now.
Previously it was a vacation
home. Giuliani's lawyer:
Momentous decision don't
necessarily get made at a
particular time [snaps
fingers]. Is this a question
of law or fact? Judge: Mixed
Judge: For our
January 16 bench trial, will
there be requests about other
properties? Plaintiffs'
lawyer: We're stymied by his
reluctance to respond to
discovery requests. Judge:
Move expeditiously so we don't
seriatim depositions. This is
just judgment enforcement
Judge: Mr.
Caruso, you have an interest
your client is not deposed
seriatim? Caruso: I do Judge:
