On September 30,
Combs' lawyers filed a notice
of appeal of detention to the
2d Circuit.
On October 3,
Combs' SDNY criminal case was
re-assigned: "Case as to Sean
Combs REASSIGNED to Judge Arun
Subramanian. Judge Andrew L.
Carter, Jr no longer assigned
to the case."
On October 9
after 5 pm, Combs' lawyer
submitted a request for "a gag
order prohibiting government
personnel from disclosing any
evidence or investigative
material related to this case
to any member of the media."

On mid October a
slew of cases were filed in
SDNY by the Tony Buzbee Firm,
including one by a woman who
states that she was sexually
assaulted by Combs in 1995 in
Elks Plaza in NYC. She / the
Buzbee Firm filed as Jane Doe

and on October 15
Judge Lewis J. Liman to whom
the case was assigned issued
this:
"In order to
proceed anonymously, Plaintiff
must make a motion to do so.
See Fed. R. Civ. P. 10. If no
such motion is filed by
October 22, 2024, the Court
will dismiss the Complaint
accordingly. A summons will
not issue until Plaintiff is
given leave to proceed without
the name of all parties."
