Nov 14– A Brazilian woman who
was charged with securities
fraud, wire fraud, and
investment adviser fraud and
pled guilty was up for
sentencing on November 14
before US District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Lewis J. Liman.
Inner City Press was

Raquel
Borges said: I'm truly sorry.
I will rebuild myself. I
adopted two daughters, I want
to be the mother they can be
proud of. We attend
church.
Judge Liman
said, You committed a
very serious crime. Others get
35 months on average for this.
The US Attorney's Office asks
for 30 months. But this is her
first offense, and she is
subject to removal from the
US.
After a break,
Judge Liman ruled: Please
rise. I sentence you to 14
months in prison, one year
supervised release.
