SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Oct 17 – Two men were indicted
for drugs and guns and
arrested and presented on
October 4 in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrates Court, which Inner
City Press closely
covers.
Both were
detained.
Then the
prosecutors wrote to the
assigned District Judge in his
case, Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil
and to the judge an another
case they say is related,
Judge Dale E. Ho.
In Judge
Ho's case, the defendant
already pled guilty, with
sentencing recently moved from
October 11 to November
26.
On October 17,
not listed in the day's
calendar on PACER, Judge Ho
held a conference with Johnson
and Rivera and their lawyers.
Thread:
Stayed in Judge
Ho's courtroom - nothing was
on the calendar but 2 CJA
defense lawyers came in. Then
2 defendants led in by US
Marshals - turns out it's a
Br0nx shooting case Inner City
Press is already covering.
After a lengthy
bail fight featuring recorded
jail calls, detention is
continued.
The next
conference is on December 5 at
noon.
The case is
now USA v. Johnson, et al.,
1:24-cr-574 (Ho)
