After 4 Shots in The Bronx and 1 Victim Hit in Ankle Man Pled to VOSR US Wants 2 Years

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Oct 31 – Malcolm Hogue was presented in Federal court on August 14 and charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition - a single 9mm FC Luger shell casing.

It was before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag Court.

Looking back into the unsealed complaint, it described Hogue firing four shots on June 18, 2023 into a crowd in front of 1409 Webster Avenue in The Bronx, by a Blink Fitness, and hitting a victim in the ankle.

He was wearing a white t-shirt and a blue cap featuring a Toronto Blue Jays emblem. He was identified by four tattoos, each in the shape of a star, on his right forearm.

Previously, Hogue was convicted of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree in The Bronx. On August 14, 2023 he was detained.

Jump cut a year minus a day forward: Hogue was before Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil, pleading guilty to a Violation of Supervised Release. Sentencing was set for November 7 at 11:30 - before the December 3 sentencing in the felon in possession of ammo case before Judge Jennifer L. Rochon.

On the VOSR, on October 31 the US Attorney's Office wrote in asking for the statutory maximum 24 months, on November 7 at 11:30 am.

The VOSR case of August 13, 2023 is US v. Hogue, 23-cr-348 (Vyskocil)

The felon in possession case is US v. Hogue, 23-cr-442 (Rochon)
