SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Nov 21 – For selling automatic
weapons online and fentanyl
pills as well, Jyshun Trower
of Virginia on December 15 was
brought before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Ona T. Wang.
Inner City Press was there,
and as the only media in the
SDNY Mag Court, from the thread:
US seeks
detention, saying he faces 17
year minimum and would flee.
Judge: What about this order
of protection? Federal
Defender: That was nolo
prosequi.
AUSA: The
defendant failed to appear in
connection with a prior
summons. He carries loaded
firearms, even if the laws of
states are different. Now he's
selling fentanyl too.
Judge: I'm
going to take a short
break
Judge is
back. All rise!
Judge: The US has
met its burden; the weight of
the evidence is strong. You
are remanded to the custody of
the Attorney General.
Jump cut to
November 19, when the US
Attorney's Office wrote in
asking for 168 months on
Trower on November 21.
On November 21,
"JYSHUN TROWER was sentenced
today by U.S. District Judge
Denise L. Cote to 14 years in
prison for trafficking
firearms and selling
counterfeit pills laced with
fentanyl. TROWER
previously pled guilty to
illegally transporting and
distributing firearms and
conspiring to distribute
narcotics."
The case is USA
