SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
June 5 – A man who previously
served 13 months in prison on
gun charges was presented on
June 5 before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Stewart D.
Aaron. Inner City Press was
there, the only media in the
SDNY Mag Court.
First
Probation found 98 rounds of
9mm Luger ammunition in a
black plastic bag the
defendant left in an apartment
of a Bronx apartment building
in which police were
investigating a
shooting.
Then they
tracked him down to a woman's
apartment in Manhattan, where
there arrested him with a
loaded 9mm Ruger, a BB gun, a
rail light for a firearm,
metal knuckles and a DeWalt
knife.
Federal
Defenders said he consented to
detention without prejudice,
and waived to the thirtieth
day (for a preliminary
hearing).
The case is
US v. Gilliam, 24-mj-2135
(Aaron)
