Felon Charged With Gun and Assault Charges Is Detained in SDNY with Violations Case Too

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 24 –  A defendant previously convicted of a felony and now indicted for having a gun and ammunition (as well as for assault and harassment, in state court) was presented on June 24 before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag Court.

Judge Tarnofsky read out the state charges, in connection with the Violation of Supervised release - on which the District Judge had set a proceeding for June 25. On the new indictment, the defendant was detained on consent. His left arm was in a sling.

The case is US v. Arroyo, 24-cr-347 (Swain / Tarnofsky)
