SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Sept 19 – A man on supervised
release who left his
in-patient drug rehab and
stopped calling Probation was
up on violations of supervised
release before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Robyn F.
Tarnofsky on September 19.
Inner City Press was there,
the only media in the SDNY Mag
Court.
His
Federal Defender argued that a
bed should be found for him,
another drug rehab - and that
he left the first one because
his aunt was dying, and they
refused to agree that he could
leave for that.
The AUSA insisted
that rehab had been tried
before and failed. Judge
Tarnofsky agreed, and ordered
him remanded.
The case is US v.
Rodriguez, 14-cr-446 (Caproni
/ Tarnofsky)
