Dec 17 – A defendant charged
with fentanyl conspiracy was
presented before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Katharine H.
Parker on December 17. Inner
City Press was there, the only
media in the SDNY Mag court.
While his
co-defendant was released on
$100,000 bond, this defendant
had an immigration detained
lodged against him. He
consented to detention.
This case
is USA v. Ortiz, et al.,
1:24-mj-4346 (Parker)
