COURTHOUSE,
Feb 25 – A Senegalese man
being detained in the ICE's
Processing and Holding Room in
26 Federal Plaza in lower
Manhattan is accused of
grabbing a pair of scissors
and attaching an ICE security
guard.
On July 23 he was presented in
the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Magistrates Court, which
Inner City Press closely
covers.
The complaint
states than an HIS Special
Agent had to defend himself
from the scissor attack with a
milk crates.
This comes
after an attack on an off-duty
Federal law enforcement
officer for which Miguel
Francisco Mora Nunez and
Christhian Aybar-Berroa, it
was said, are going to be
prosecuted in SDNY.
On August 4,
Ndiaye was indicted for
assaulting an Employee of the
US and the case wheeled out to
Judge Richard M. Berman; an
initial conference was set for
August 20.
On August 18 the
US Attorney Office wrote in
asking to adjourn (to
September 10 at noon), saying
that Ndiaye "has been
hospitalized."
Ndiaye pled
guilty, and on February 24 his
Federal Defender asked for a
sentence of one day, stating
for example that he has been
the only Wolof speaker in the
MDC.
This
scissors case is USA v.
Ndiaye, 1:25-cr-349 (Berman)
