Man Jailed for Trafficking 60 Guns to NY from Georgia Also Offered Flamethrower US Says

SDNY MAG COURT EXCLUSIVE, Oct 15 –   A man arrested and charged with trafficking 60 guns and 1000 rounds of ammo from Georgia to New York City had a detention hearing on October 15 before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Ona T. Wang. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag court. Thread:

AUSA: This defendant may have ties to South Korea.

Defense: He was born in Georgia, now live in North Potomoc, Maryland. He has owned record labels. 

 Judge: What was his prior conviction?

AUSA: Robbery and assault outside a 7/11 Defense: It was a bar fight.

AUSA: He was sentenced to 18 months. 

Pre-Trial: It's unclear if he's been living in NY or Maryland. Defense: He wants to open a restaurant in NY Judge: I'll take a break

 Judge: I find the US has met its burden. I order you detained.

The case is USA v. Kim, et al., 1:25-mj-3267 (Wang)
