Drugs and Guns in SDNY Got 42
Months Now Co Defendant Detained

COURTHOUSE,
Oct 11 – Bryan Estevez and
Terel Byers were arrested on
drug and gun charged on
December 20, 2023.
On January
5, 2024, detained, they
appeared before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Victor Marrero. Inner City
Press was there, the only
media in the courtroom. There
were also family members and
supporters.
Judge
Marrero asked about discovery
and was told it will be
produced within 60 days - the
AUSA added the investigation
had been of eight to nine
months.
On October 4 the
US Attorney's Office wrote in
on Byers asking for at least
48 months - four years.
On October 11,
Byers was sentenced to 42
months.
On November 1,
Estevez got 144 months and
later in the day, co-defendant
Montedeoca was presented in
SDNY Magistrates Court. Inner
City Press was there,
