Lucas'
lawyer said he
had and may
still have a
job as a concierge.
Judge Stein
expressed sympathy,
but said
allowing
gunfire in
crowded
streets is not
possible, that
general
deterrence is
needed.
Lucas'
Federal
Defender said
the media is
not paying
attention to
this case.
Judge
Stein stuck to
what he had
proposed, 366
days, and
hoped Lucas would
keep his job.

December 15,
2024, when in a
follow up case
the Assistance
US Attorney
wrote in about
the defendant's
subsequent
arrest for
guns, and jail
call saying he
wanted to
"punch [the
prosecutor]
dead on her
face." She
asked for 50
months on
December 20 -
or for
an adjournment
and
hearing if the
Court finds it

the facts in
the PSR.
The first case
was US v. Lucas, 21-cr-382

The new case
is USA
v. Lucas, 1:24-cr-143 (Subramanian)
