Dec 16– Four defendants
were indicted and presented on
October 17 in the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrates Court. Inner City

Prosecutors announced the
Indictment charges KENAN
TARIVERDI, NAZIM TARIVERDI,
and DILSHOD ISLAMOV with
operating an extensive
no-fault insurance fraud that
submitted more than $11
million in fraudulent claims
for psychological testing and
services—and for laundering
the proceeds of that fraud
through a network of illicit
check cashers, including
ALVARO GEOVANNI QUIJADA
LEMUS.

presentment in US v Tariverdi,
for defrauding health care
companies and insurers. The
expectation is he'll be
released on bond agreed by
prosecutors.
AUSA: We agree to
release on $500,000 bond
secured by his Staten Island
home, turn in his Russian
passport - Retained counsel:
It's expired, but I'll bring
it in.
Judge: You are
released.
And the
interpreter went with him to
the bond signing.
On June 12, 2025
co-defendant Quijada-Lemus
pled guilty to count 4
On September 11,
his counsel wrote in asking
for a non-incarceratory
sentence of home
incarceration.
On September 19
the US Attorney's Office wrote
in asking for 30 months, with
sentencing now on September
26.
He was sentenced
to six months.
On December 16
counsel to the lead defendant
wrote in asking for him to
travel to Russia to visit his
terminally ill uncle as he
awaiting sentencing.
