COURTHOUSE,
Dec 17 – Back in mid-April the
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
announced the unsealing of an
Indictment charging RALPH
WALLACE, a/k/a “Chase,” a/k/a
“Prize,” with sex trafficking
multiple women by force,
fraud, and coercion.
WALLACE was arrested this
morning in Fort Lee, New
Jersey. The case has been
assigned to U.S. District
Judge Lewis J.
Liman.
On
December 17 Judge Liman held a
suppression hearing. Inner
City Press live tweeted it, here
Judge Liman: AUSA
Berger, you may
inquire AUSA:
Where did you search?
Agent Murphy: The
prior residence of Mr. Wallace
in The Bronx, he had
previously been evicted and a
victim had lived there. The
super let us in. We cleared
the apartment and took an
entry video
AUSA: Let's show
the video, two minutes and
change. Voice (Agent Binda)

background]
AUSA: Who decided
what to seize? Agent Murphy:
Myself and Special Agent
Binda. We found these notes in
the kitchen of the
apartment. AUSA: What
did you see before deciding to
seize the notes? Agent Murphy:
There was a page headed How to
brainwash. Also, How to tell a
female is not down for sex
AUSA: And these, do they
refresh your recollection?
Agent Murphy: The 5 things
that make you look weak
AUSA: Why were they relevant?
Agent Murphy:
Some of the victims were in
romantic relationships with
Mr. Wallace at some point. So
notes about manipulation were
relevant. AUSA: What's this?
Agent Murphy: A black and
white composition notebook,
from a cabinet
Judge Liman:
Cross examination. Pimp
Wallace's legal team includes
Harris and Estevao, who was
one of Sean Combs' (many)
lawyers. Defense: You had an
enforcement operations plan?
An EOP? Agent Murphy: I've
never heard it called
that
[Note: in
fairness, the defense duo here
have been appointed under the
Criminal Justice Act] Defense:
You joked about some of the
notes? Agent Murphy: I'm not
sure about that.
Defense: You told
the government you joked about
not being in the desired age
range [Note: this is
cross by defense) Defense: And
the notation about how to tell
if a female is not down for
sex, that's dating advice,
right? Agent Murphy: I don't
call it dating advice.
Defense: Then tips to men?
Agent Murphy: Not
tips. It's about
relationships
Defense: The list of things
that make you look weak
includes being too available,
engaging in petty arguments -
these are tips? Agent Murphy:
These are lists.
Defense: You
selected some to sent to the
prosecution team? Agent
Murphy: We scanned and sent
them some Defense: This
is a Bronx County court
document? Agent Murphy: It's
possible. Defense: Some of
these have been sitting in
HSI's New York Office since
March, but you only gave them
the prosecutors on Friday?
Agent Murphy: We
have had it since March.
Defense: This pink notebook,
it belongs to one of the
victims? Agent Murphy: Yes.
Defense: Read from it, please?
Agent: What am I grateful for?
My man. I gave Prize his daily
backrub. I had an honest and
respectful conversation with
Mister P
Agent
Murphy: It says, I am
grateful making some money and
for Phoenix and Chase.
Defense: Who are they? Agent
Murphy: The victim's cats.
Defense: Did this victim have
any other employment other
than sex work? Agent Murphy: I
am not sure
Judge Liman:
Evidence is closed [90
minutes] Break - until January
5. Letters coming.
The case is USA
v. Wallace, 1:25-cr-171
(Liman)
