Bob Menendez Got 11 Years Sentence Now Nadine Amid Trial Does FARA Research

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 27 – Amid reports of investigation against Sen. Robert Menendez for taking gold bars, Inner City Press' sources on September 21 it to expect on Friday, September 22 an appearance in Federal court in Manhattan by Menendez and his wife Nadine Arslanian, now facing trial alone. This scoop was true.

On March 24 despite when Bob Menendez's counsel said in asking to delay his sentencing, Bob was nowhere to be seen...

But on March 25, he and his co-defendant got surrender delayed to May 19: "ORDER as to Robert Menendez, Wael Hana, Fred Daibes. Defendants shall surrender for service of their sentences at the institution designated by the Bureau of Prisons on or before 2:30 pm on May 19, 2025.

On March 27 Nadine Menendez' lawyer wrote in "in preliminary response to the Court’s Order at the end of the trial day today, concerning whether asserting a FARA exemption is an affirmative defense, requiring pretrial notice...I have not yet located authority for the proposition that asserting a FARA exemption is an affirmative defense in this context, but I am continuing to research this issue."
