SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Nov 25 – A man from China who
has been in the US since 1992
was detained by ICE in 26
Federal Plaza on November 24.
On November 25 he
filed a habeas corpus petition
in the U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York, where Inner City Press
found it.
Ke Dian
Wang is 59 years old. He was
ordered to leave the US in
2007 but did not. After
several applications, his
petition by a Walker Street
lawyer states that he is now
"prima facie eligible for
adjustment of status to a
permanent resident of the
US."
But he is
detained, and at the time of
filing his location was
unknown.
The case is
Wang v. Francis, et. al.,
