SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Nov 25 – A 32-year-old man
from El Salvador who was
detained by ICE for sixteen
months starting in 2021 then
released when a bond hearing
was ordered has been detained
again by ICE and put in the
same jail and dorm he was in
before, in the Orange County
Jail in Goshen, New York.
On
November 25 he filed a 50 page
habeas corpus petition,
proposing a schedule and
requesting oral argument.
The case
has yet to be assigned to a
judge in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York, which
Inner City Press closely
covers and where it found the
petition, the longest and most
detailed it has seen.
The case is
OFC or FC v. Almodovar, et
al., 1:25-cv-9816 (Unassigned)
