SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Nov 26 – A 52-year-old woman
from Guinea has been in the US
since 2001, now married to a
US citizen for eight years.
She was arrested by ICE at
LaGuardia Airport on November
25 and detained in 26 Federal
Plaza.
On November
26 she filed a habeas corpus
petition in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York where
Inner City Press found
it. Her petition
says her son is a DACA
recipient, and that she fled
Guinea after experiencing
gender-based and political
violence.
Her pro
bono lawyer asks that she not
be moved out of SDNY and for a
hearing.
The case is
Diallo v. Joyce, et al.,
1:25-cv-9909 (Unassigned)
