Feb 4 –A woman from China who
entered the US in 2023 was
detained by ICE and detained
in 26 Federal Plaza.
On February 4 she
filed a habeas corpus petition
in the US District Court for
the Southern District of New
York, where Inner City Press
found it.
The
petition says that "absent an
order from this Court, she
will be removed to China where
she fears further
persecution."
Her Mott
Street-based lawyer ask for
attorney's fees.
The case
was not assigned out as of 7
pm on February 4
