At West Point $260 Borrowed
for Car Repairs and Not Returned
Triggers Case in SDNY

COURTHOUSE,
July 12 – The theft or
unauthorized borrowing of $260
at the US Military Academy at
West Point has given rise to a
case in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York in White
Plains, which Inner City Press
also covers.
On December 20,
2023 the Provost Martial
contacted Military Police
Investigations about cash
taken in order to pay for car
repairs. The money was not
returned, on July 12
Magistrate Judge Kim P. Berg
signed off on that the
defendant "be imprisoned or
bailed."
The case is
US v. Broker, 7:24-mj-2560
