UN GATE,
Nov 29 – How corrupt
is today's UN under Antonio
Guterres? Today's follow up,
after leak, is yet once again
on his mission in Colombia,
about which his spokespeople
Stephane Dujarric and Melissa
Fleming refuse all Press
questions. Inner City Press
has asked them, and others,
about the newest sex abuse
case against the UN there. Now
this sent to Inner City Press:
Dear Matthew Russell Lee,
Further to your recent articles
about UNVMC, we also have something else to
report. We are increasingly distressed
by the abuse of power and favoritism exhibited
by the Chief HR, Ms. Mar Brusola in her
capacity as both a hiring manager and as Chief
of Human Resources, she lacks relevant
experience and a significant track record in
human resources management. Her recruitment
from Brindisi, where she worked in logistics,
seems primarily motivated by her personal
relationship with Chief CDU, Mr. Federico
Ledesma, rather than her qualifications...
During the financial crisis, when
general recruitment was suspended, she
promoted members of her own team — advancing
one staff from UNV to NOA, another from NOB to
NOC, and promoting a staff member from G5 to
G7, 1 staff who just retired was taken back as
UNV.
Moreover, she facilitated a promotion from P3
to P5 for her girlfriend of her same
nationality (Spain) Ms Loreto Ferrer, who is
also in a personal relationship with the SRSG
and as thanks to their love affair she got a
non-deserved promotion. After the promotion,
Loreto also had her cousin to be recruited in
UNMVC with the complicity of Mar.
Chief HR, Mar also manipulated the recruitment
process for the CMS D1 position, allowing her
first reporting officer, Yang Wang, to be
selected despite his fraudulent statement in
his PHP about his Spanish proficiency and who
has cheated in the exam for the Spanish
question, as the entire mission is aware that
his Spanish knowledge is less then basic. With
Yang Wang releasing his post as P5 ORM, Mar
will be selected by Yang for that position,
getting a promotion as a prize for all her
misconducts. Anyone who reports her
wrongdoings to CDU Mr. Federico Ledesma,
becomes a target of harassment and retaliation
from both. Whoever works with integrity and
professionalism is sidelined and mobbed.
National staff members face constant abuse and
threats in their own Country, and we are
forced to endure a toxic work
environment.
The SRSG Carlos Ruiz is well aware of the
misconduct of Chief HR Mar Brusola and her
partner, Chief CDU Federico Ledesma, as
well as the troubling environment within the
Mission, particularly in the MSD. This
situation has been exacerbated by the
leadership of Mr. Yang Wang, who, due to his
limited capabilities and unprofessional
demeanor, has created an unhealthy atmosphere.
Mr. Wang was selected solely based on his
Chinese nationality (so that the SRSG can get
support by the Chinese government for his next
nomination)
And
that's how Guterres and the UN work, buying the
support of China. Will it continue?
See this
attachment, including
"there have been a lot of tensions among
all staff, in particular following a
number of anonymous reports via email,
some of which also ended up in the public
domain, (inner city press)."
We'll have
more on all this. No answer from UN
Spox Dujarric on this, or nomination of Elise Stefanik. Keep
the info coming.
