UN GATE,
Dec 3 – How corrupt is
today's UN under Antonio
Guterres? Today's follow up,
with leak, is yet one more
time on his mission in
Colombia, about which his
spokespeople Stephane Dujarric
and Melissa Fleming refuse all
Press questions. Inner City
Press has asked them, and
others, about the newest sex
abuse case against the UN
there. Now this sent to Inner
City Press:
Dear Matthew Russell Lee,
Corruption
at UNVMC continues to claim victims. The
latest casualty is a national staff member
who resigned to protect their mental
health, which had been severely damaged by
the harassment and discrimination
pervasive within the
mission.
This resignation is yet another
example of the collateral damage caused by
the mafia-like culture at UNVMC. After
reporting an attempt to involve them in a
scheme to undermine the Chief of Supply
Chain and Service Delivery, back in 2022,
the staff member faced relentless
harassment from Federico Ledesma, who made
it clear that reporting the misconduct of
international staff would not be
tolerated.
The confidential document you
received sheds light on the very well
known meetings between Brusola, Josefa,
Thair, and Muñoz—three of whom have
already been exposed by Inner City Press
for various allegations. Meanwhile, it’s
telling that FSU made the effort to fly to
UNVMC to address their complaints and
involve OIOS to investigate them, yet both
conveniently ignored reports against Thair
and Muñoz for fraud, harassment, and
sexual harassment.
To make matters worse,
Brusola, with the help of her ally Loreto
Ferrer, appears to control access to the
SRSG, deciding who gets to meet with him
to raise complaints and who does not.
Ferrer further manipulates the system by
selectively deleting or forwarding SRSG
emails to serve the interests of her inner
circle. This level of corruption and abuse
of power has been going on long enough.
We'll have more on all this. No
answer from UN Spox Dujarric on this, or
nomination of Elise Stefanik. Keep
the info coming.
