UN GATE,
Dec 5 – How corrupt is today's
UN under Antonio Guterres?
Today's follow up is yet again
on his mission in Colombia,
about which his spokespeople
Stephane Dujarric and Melissa
Fleming refuse all Press
questions. Inner City Press
has asked them, and others,
about the newest sex abuse
case against the UN there. Now
this, from a UN whistleblower
sent to Inner City Press:
Dear Matthew Russell Lee,
I am
compelled to raise urgent concerns about the
continued unethical practices and favoritism
displayed by Mar Brusola, despite the
detailed evidence of her misconduct reported
by Inner City Press and the ongoing
investigations against her. Her unchecked
influence within the organization raises
serious questions about transparency and
accountability. Most
recently, Brusola has played a key role in
the unjust removal of a highly capable
African minority staff member, who has
served as Chief of MSU for two years.
This individual is now being replaced under
the pretext of not speaking Spanish.
Ironically, the CMS who made this decision
and now occupies a D1 position reportedly
misrepresented their own proficiency in
Spanish during their appointment. This
decision not only reflects discriminatory
practices but also sets a dangerous
precedent for the treatment of minority
staff.
Furthermore, Brusola’s transition
from Chief HR to now simultaneously holding
positions as Chief MSU and Chief ORM raises
significant red flags. These moves appear
strategically designed to consolidate power
and protect her from the consequences of
ongoing investigations into her conduct. It
raises the question: is this a calculated
effort to ensure she retains influence if
the promised P5 Chief ORM position becomes
unattainable due to adverse findings? Or is
it a contingency plan in case her role as
Chief HR becomes untenable if justice is
served? This concentration
of authority undermines the principles of
equity and accountability, while reinforcing
concerns about potential manipulation of the
system to cover misconduct. It is
disheartening that, despite ample evidence
of her unethical behavior, Brusola continues
to secure key roles, seemingly without
scrutiny or consequences.
We count on Inner City
Press
as the UN system has proven to do nothing
against the corrupt officers
We'll have
more on all this. Keep the info
coming.
