Oct 6 – How corrupt and
decrepit has the UN system
become under Antonio Guterres,
in this case due to Guterres?
Today's example is again from
the Office of the High
Commission for Human Rights,
to which Guterres appointed
his unqualified crony Volker
Turk more than two years ago.
From OHCHR
staff: "Turk alleges a “very
robust engagement with the
Chinese at all levels”. His
“robust engagement” is used as
fig leave for 3 years of
silence. The truth is that
Turk has traded his public
voice for 800,000 dollar
Chinese contribution to
OHCHR. Turk uses the
800,000 to cover the deficit
in OHCHR and to continue
paying for Kim Taylor (who
lied in the case of
whistleblower Emma Reilly and
others), Maarit Kohonen (who
hired and promoted her husband
from P1 to P4 and helped to
fire Emma Reilly), Matthias
Behnke (promoted for being a
personal friend of Volker
Turk), Francesco Motta
(promoted for being a protege
of Turk and who advised on the
silence on China) and many
others. This is Guterres’ UN."
Yes it is.But for how long?
... Turk
insists on relocating 120
staff members (and their
families) from Geneva. In the
meantime half of the staff in
Colombia has been fired due to
bad planning. But no one is
accountable.All young people
in OHCHR has been or will be
fired in 2025. But Volker Turk
tweets about the value of
young people with Hypocrisy.
Staff will be relocated to
Vienna only to be fired.
All cuts
are at P2 and P3 level.Turk is
only concerned about himself
and he has perpetuated a
system of nepotism with his
cronies Maarit Kohonen,
Veronica Berga, Mathias
Behnke, Francesco Motta,
Michael Camilleri and Kim
Taylor. Volker Turk must
resign and take all his senior
staff with him.
