UN Falls Apart Under Guterres Literally Vienna Agencies Flee Fire Danger in Building C

by Matthew Russell Lee

UN GATE, June 29 –   Today's UN under Antonio Guterres is falling apart - including literally. While Guterres bans the Press from UNHQ in New York, UNOV in Vienna is a fire hazard, even its spokesman says, if only to UNOV/UNODC – IAEA – UNIDO – CTBTO. Banned Inner City Press publishes it:

In May 2024, the Facility Management Services (BMS) spotted during routine maintenance work in the C Building that a small section of the fire-retardant material that covers the steel structure of the C Building had detached. ·

The Host Country agency responsible for the VIC and adjacent Austrian Centre (IAKW) is currently undertaking a comprehensive assessment of the situation and will determine what repair work is required.  ·

The Austrian authorities determined that the building can remain in operation and asked the VBOs, as a precautionary measure,  to reduce the number of people present in the C Building by, to the extent possible, moving meetings to the M Building or elsewhere.

Elsewhere? [Note: IAKW stands for Internationales Amtssitz und Konferenzzentrum Wien.
