Like Those of Guterres Are a
Fraud Staff Say

Jan 19 – How corrupt and
decrepit has the UN system
become under Antonio Guterres,
in this case due to Guterres?
Today's example is again from
the Office of the High
Commission for Human Rights,
to which Guterres appointed
his unqualified crony Volker
Turk more than two years ago.
From OHCHR
staff: "Dear Matthew Russell
Lee: Volker Turk’s crocodile
tears in Sudan are a fraud to
donors. Guterres’ crony, High
Commisioner for Human Rights,
Volker Turk spent 3 days in
Sudan departing from his
routine of trips to San
Marino, New York, Germany,
Liechtenstein or his homeland
Austria (where he keeps
wasting resources without a
host country agreement).
Credible NGOs and human rights
defenders have expressed
surprise to see Turk and his
representative Li Fung in
Sudan.
The truth
is that Turk’s representative,
Australian Li Fung, and all
her team are based in Nairobi
and rarely travel to Sudan.
Human rights come after
comfort for the cronies in
OHCHR. Some joked that in the
photos Turk is surrounded by
staff from other UN agencies
in the absence of OHCHR
staff.
A human rights
defender commented
confidentially that OHCHR
staff only travels from
Nairobi when the High
Commissioner goes to Sudan
every three years. Notably,
when the UN recently entered
in Al Fasher and documented
grave human rights violations,
OHCHR staff was in Nairobi
where they have been the last
3 years enjoying luxury life,
same as their Geneva
colleagues, same as Volker
Turk. This is fraud to donors.
Li Fung, a
favorite of corrupt Maarit
Kohonen, is a product of
cronyism as much as Nada Al
Nashif, Kim L. Taylor, Peggy
Hiks, Michael Camilleri, Scott
Campbell, Dimiter Chalev,
Abdul Aziz Thioye, Beatrix
Balbin, Julietta de Ribero,
Astrid van Gesderen or
Matthias Behnke. Cronism
is the chief reason OHCHR is
in massive deficit and why all
whistleblowers and junior
colleagues (mainly young
women) have been fired. Many
more of us will lose our jobs
if Turk and his cronies
remain.
Volker
Turk’s term ends in September
2026. Member states must
ensure he is not extended by
his master, Uber-corrupt Tony
Guterres."

re-applied to re-enter the UN
on June 19, 2025 - no answer
at all from Melissa Fleming,
Tel Mekel, Stephane Dujarric
for six months, then a denial
with no reason at all given.
Today's UN is corrupt.
