UN Colombia Mission Hiring Scandals of Sleeping Way Up on Mar No Dujarric Answers

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

UN GATE, Nov 9 – How corrupt is today's UN under Antonio Guterres? Today's follow up is on his mission in Colombia, about which his spokespeople Stephane Dujarric and Melissa Fleming refuse all Press questions. Inner City Press has asked them, and others, about the newest sex abuse case against the UN there. Now this, from a UN whistleblower sent to Inner City Press:

Dear Matthew,

Further to the recent articles about UNVMC,  we also have something to report.  We are increasingly distressed by the abuse of power and favoritism exhibited by Chief HR, Ms. Mar Brusola in her capacity as both a hiring manager and as Chief of Human Resources, she lacks relevant experience and a significant track record in human resources management.
Her recruitment from Brindisi, where she worked in logistics, seems primarily motivated by her personal relationship with Chief CDU, Mr. Federico Ledesma, rather than her qualifications. In Brindisi she was doing the same corrupted recruitments for Mr. Pecheck; who recruited his wife and for the Director Di Ceglie, who went to HQ in Ny as D2 after doing dinners for USG  Khare and organizing concerts for him and top officials in NY. These are their achievements.

Although Ms Brusola and Mr Ledesma  have both signed a recusal form, they continue to manipulate processes and provide biased information to the SRSG. They protect favored staff while targeting and harassing those they dislike based on personal reasons. This behavior is unacceptable, particularly from individuals in roles that should embody integrity, professionalism, and neutrality; instead, they demonstrate a blatant disregard for the organization's core values.  Mar Brusola has obstructed recruitment efforts for hiring managers and applicants she disapproves of, while facilitating the hiring of unqualified candidates for roles.

During the financial crisis, when general recruitment was suspended, she promoted members of her own team — advancing one staff from UNV to NOA, another from NOB to NOC, and promoting a staff member from G5 to G7, 1 staff who just retired was taken back as UNV. Additionally, she gave a P3 position to a national staff member with an American passport, clearly breaching the UN staff rule and a G7 post to a non-Colombian male, effectively denying the opportunities to national staff.

Moreover, she facilitated a promotion from P3 to P5 for her girlfriend of her same nationality (Spain) Ms Loreto Ferrer, who is also in a personal relationship with the SRSG and as thanks to their love affair she got a non-deserved promotion. After the promotion, Loreto also had her cousin to be recruited in UNMVC with the complicity of Mar.

We'll have more on all this. Keep the info coming.
