June 8 – How corrupt and
decrepit has the UN system
become under Antonio Guterres,
in this case due to Guterres?
Today's example is again from
the Office of the High
Commission for Human Rights,
to which Guterres appointed
his unqualified crony Volker
Turk more than two years ago.

Guterres and his cronies like
Volker Turk
Narcissist Volker Turk, unqualified
crony appointed by Tony, launched a new
pharaonic initiative. Under his UDHR75, three
years ago, he wasted between 6-8 million
dollars from tax payers in empty events (this
is where un earmarked contributions end)
including a pitiful concert “Human Rights
Concert” at Geneva Victoria Hall that ended up
attended by a few dozens of OHCHR staff and
bootlickers.
Since then, Volker Turk (supported by his
senior cronies) has fired some 350 staff
(mostly young women including some with
medical conditions, some pregnant and some
being the sole breadwinners of their
household). Not a single D2, D1, or P5 was
affected. It doesn’t matter accountability
under Tony, with Catherine Pollard and Marta
Helena Lopez is selective.
Now Volker Turk announces a new wasteful
initiative his Global Human Rights Alliance.
Another empty waste of tax payers money that
will suck resources meant to be invested in
field or real human rights work. How many
colleagues will lose their job for Volkie’s
new circus? What’s the budget? How will he
fund it? Will Volker Turk resort to “cost
recovery”, Kim Taylor and Nada Al Nashif’s
creative accountancy, using earmarked funds
for the field to pay for Volkie’s expensive
shows in Geneva? (Amb Waltz did not notice
it.
Will Volkie use this to fly his friends as he
did in 2023? Better to have an irrelevant
High Commissioner than an uncomfortable one).
Shockingly, Volker Turk’s new circus is
planned for 2028 confirming that his only plan
is to stay in the post for as long as he is
allowed. While staff already laughs at
his detachment from reality (“ Philosopher’s
circle”) many fear what the impact will be in
real human rights work for the next two years.
Or worse, how many staff will end up losing
their jobs when the final bill comes. For sure
none around Volker’s circle of nepotism.
Today’s presentation to the staff was vague,
laughable, pathetic and empty. Worse, for all
of us who lived through the UDHR75 fiasco it
was depressing and demoralizing. Sadly,
OHCHR has no future under Volker Turk.
Dear Colleagues, I am delighted to
share that the Global Alliance for Human
Rights will be officially launched on 11 June
2026, introducing eight catalytic initiatives
and a new digital platform,
globalalliance.un.org, which will go live in
the coming days....
The eight initial catalytic initiatives
to be set in motion at the launch are:

An Academia Platform
A Philosophers’ Circle
A Global Business Helpdesk
The RightsX Summit
The Sumaúma Pledging Tree for Human
Rights-Based Climate Action Rights in Every
Classroom
and ReachOut. You are all invited to the

2026 at 13:30 CEST at Palais Wilson,
Geneva.

So far,
nothing from Mike Waltz, last
seen skydiving in France.
Meanwhile both Big Tony and
Amina junketed on April 15 to
the IMF which Inner City Press

which it asked questions - but
not of Tony, as UNCTAD denied

event." The UN is dying, or
being killed off.

for six months, then a denial
with no reason at all given.
Today's UN is corrupt.
