In Corrupt UN of Guterres Scarcia of UNIDO IDed for Breaking Sanctions by Whistleblowers

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

UN GATE, Oct 20 – How corrupt is the UN system under Antonio Guterres? Today we turn yet again to UNIDO:

"Dear Matthew Lee, We are writing to urgently bring to your attention serious concerns regarding the mismanagement and potential misappropriation of European Union funds allocated to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).  Our efforts reporting Ygor Scarcia internally to UNIDO Human Resources and the Internal Oversight Directorate have gone in vain. So more from these whistleblowers, unresponded to:

"Ygor Scarcia is at the epicenter of an explosive and far-reaching UN corruption scandal. Scarcia is involved in a covert campaign to silence an ex-Somali political stakeholder — an insider from Mogadishu who has contacts with whistleblowers across Germany and Italy. This ex- insider, was a figure in the Somali political circles, after severing ties with Scarcia’s UNIDO procurement operations was blackmailed by Scarcia and his associates in Mogadishu.

The whistleblower mysteriously vanished without trace, the whistleblowers say, in possession of a trove of materials, including documents and photographs incriminating Scarcia in a web of corruption, bribery, and illicit dealings in Somalia. The cache of materials is said to include photographic documentation of Scarcia’s clandestine meetings with individuals linked to entities under U.S. sanctions, further amplifying the gravity of these allegations. One of the investigated UNIDO procurement operations is AME Solution contracts, a shadowy enterprise allegedly co-owned by Scarcia through intricate network of intermediaries in Somalia. Despite ongoing investigation into the company, UNIDO’s procurement personnel continued to award contracts to AME Solution in Somalia, engendering misgivings regarding institutional complicity and egregious dereliction of duty.

The news of vanished Somali whistleblower sent tremors through Vienna-based UN organizations, with a major cohort citing a loss of confidence in UNIDO’s oversight and human resources directorates. Scarcia who has connections with Somali military elements, instructed his military operatives to eliminate any remaining insiders and suppress persistent leaks from Mogadishu.

Fearing reprisals from a senior German official inferred as D2, an employee hesitated to disclose specifics. We deduce the referenced senior official D2 is Managing Director Gunther Beger."

We aim to have more on this, since UN Spokespeople while taking public funds refuse to answer Inner City Press' written questions.

Keep it coming. Though Inner City Press remains banned by Guterres and no response by his Melissa Fleming to this, we continue reporting - keep it coming. And watch this site.
