After Years of UN
Corruption and Censorship Second
Promise of Belated Reform in New
Era

UN GATE,
Nov 11 – After four years -
and more - at the United
Nations of corruption and
censorship, the newly elected
US President has just
nominated a non-fan of the UN
to be US Ambassador
there.
Yes, it
happened in 2017, and the UN
remained unreformed. Will that
happen again this time?
On July 3,
2018 Antonio Guterres, UN
Secretary General then and
now, had Inner City Press
targeted then banned
by his UN Security as it
covered a late night UN Budget
committee meeting at which $5
billion in global taxpayers'
money was being doled
out.
After seeking UN
due process - an oxymoron -
administratively, Inner City
Press got pro bono counsel,
the same Quinn Emanuel law
firm now representing Eric
Adams, to write
to the UN's Melissa Fleming
and UN Correspondents
Association seeking a dialogue
on press freedom and restoring
access for Inner City Press.
Neither
ever responded, and when a
senior member of Antony
Blinken's State Department was
informed, they did nothing.
Nor his US Ambassador to the
UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
They loved the UN too
much.
So, despite
a promise
to answer written questions,
UN Spokesperson Stephane
Dujarric has refused, on each
of the UN topics of the day,
from UNRWA to Ukraine to UN
scandals.
On
November 10 new nominee Elise
Stefanik vowed to advance
"peace through strength
leadership on the world stage
on Day One at the United
Nations."
Will it happen
this time? Watch this site.
