SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
Oct 29 – Rapper Daniel
Hernandez a/k/a Tekashi
#6ix9ine, still on probation
after sentencing as a
cooperator in the Nine Trey
gang case, was ordered
detained on alleged violations
of supervised release on
October 29 by U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul A. Engelmayer. Inner City
Press was there, from the thread
(when he spoke for himself)
#6ix9ine: Yes.
First I want to apologize for
arriving late this morning. I
don't live in NY, I live in
Florida. I woke up late. I was
released on April 2, 2020,
I've been on Probation since
Judge: Move away from the
microphone, I'd think you'd
understand that
#6ix9ine: I
know my counsel told me not to
speak. But the truth stays the
same. I've sat with AUSA
Rebold many times, you're my
judge, I know how strict you
are, my goal is not to be in
front of you ever. You are a
smart person, I can't lie to
you
#6ix9ine: I'm not
a piece of, uh, I'm not a bad
person. I apologize. I'm
coming down to my last six
months on probation. In the
last six months, why would I
mess up now? My case was
transferred to Florida a
couple of months ago. There
system is different
#6ix9ine: Their
system is different, more
strict. The thing about
September 7 - Judge: I advise
you not to talk about that #
6ix9ine: I
performed at the T-Mobile
Arena, I thought I had
permission, I posted it. I
didn't get a text back. I'm
human. I have that system
#6ix9ine: I tested positive
for marijuana- Judge: You were
told to get permission two
weeks in advance.
#6ix9ine: My
system with SDNY, Manhattan,
was different. I'm owning up.
I performed in front of 20,000
people. I know technically
it's wrong.
#6ix9ine: My life for the last
four years, it's been bad,
bro. I've been jumped at the
gym for cooperating. I have
this for life. I'm human,
bro... Judge: Mr.
Hernandez, anything further?
#6ix9ine: Yes.
Freedom is everything to
me. #6ix9ine:
Adderall has meth in it. It's
just a mistake. Judge: You
didn't show up for drug
testing. I'm not requiring you
to answer that
#6ix9ine: Aug 27,
I was tested positive. So
every Wednesday, a drug test.
You take a piss test, I said,
that's a lie.
#6ix9ine: When my hair test
came back OK, I thought, it's
a win, no more testing. Judge:
Your testimony is you thought
you had the right?
#6ix9ine: Yes. It
was just a misunderstanding. I
thought-
Judge: I'll be
interested in that on Nov
12. I can't resolve it
now. Another court directed
you not to leave the country,
you left. You can call that
court corrupt, and that
country corrupt, but you left.
I'll see you in two weeks.
Adjourned.
The case is still
